Research Centre – Department of Chemistry
Mission: To infuse the innovative research attitude in the faculties, students and research scholars, so that they could be better innovators of tomorrow.
Vision: To promote and impart the chemistry knowledge and transform the wisdom into action.
Long Term Goal: To build up the department potentially to embark upon research along with academics and motivating the faculty towards research. As all faculties have doctoral degrees, emphasis is given on getting funds from funding agencies. If possible, to have consultancy services and collaborative ventures with national laboratories/contract research laboratories.

The research Canter is well equipped with Digital Weighing Balances, Vacuum Pump, Hot Plates, pH Meters, Conductometers, Spectrophotometric Colorimeters, Potentiometers, Flame photo meter and Glassware required, for synthetic work.
All the faculties in the department have completed their ‘Doctoral degrees’ in diverse fields like, Synthetic/Heterocyclic chemistry, Catalysis and Polymer Studies and are actively involved in research activities. Department Research centre has more than 100 journals, (Springer Publications as E-Resources, https://link.springer.com). Faculties have more than 75 research papers published in Scopus indexed, UGC recognised & Peer reviewed journals and 25 seminars/conferences abstracts/papers (national and international). Dr. Umesh Laddi, Professor and Head was reviewer for 15 national and international journals and ‘Editorial Board member’ of 5 International journals. Dr. Umesh has worked as examiner for Pre-Ph.D., comprehensive viva-voce examination (VTU).
