The Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology (CIT) was established in the year 2001 with the objective of providing quality technical education. The Institute is affiliated to VTU, Belagavi, Karnataka, approved by AICTE New Delhi, accredited by NAAC with B+ and ISO 9001:2015 Certified. The institute in the period from 2001-2019 secured various University ranks in all the disciplines and the proud recipient of “Excellent Engineering Institute in Rural India” Award 2016 and “Most Promising Engineering Institution” Award 2018. CIT Cultural Flair 2024: A Spectacular Celebration of Talent and Tradition
CIT Cultural Flair 2024, the prestigious annual cultural extravaganza of Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology, held at our campus on May 31st and June 1st, 2024. Since its inception in 2002, Flair has been a cornerstone event of CIT, bringing together vibrant talent and a rich tapestry of cultural expressions.
Event Highlights:
This year’s edition was an eclectic mix of performances and competitions that showcase the diverse skills of our students. Whether it’s the rhythm of the West or the soul of the East, Flair has something for everyone:
- Western Solo, Duet, and Group Performances: Groove to modern beats in electrifying solo, duet, and group performances.
- Classical and Folk Dance: Experience the grace and tradition through classical solo, duet, and group dances.
- Skit, Mad Ads, and Mime: Enjoy the creativity and humor of our skit, mad ads, and mime presentations.
- Visual Arts: Marvel at artistic expressions in theme drawing, rangoli, and face painting competitions.
- Literary Events: Engage with poignant words in poetry (English and Kannada) and debates.
- Creative Media: Explore compelling narratives in photo story building, photography, videography, and short movies.
- Fashion Show: Witness the elegance and style of our student designers on the runway.
Special Attractions:
- Chief Guest Appearance by Mr. Dharshan Narayan: We are honoured to have Mr. Dharshan Narayan, the celebrated winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 20, grace our event with a special appearance.
- DJ Night: Dance the night away under the stars with our electrifying DJ night, a perfect climax to two days of cultural celebration.

Flair 2023 is an intercollegiate cultural fest of Channabasaveshwara Institute of Technology. This annual affair brings with it new surprises, new challenges, new winners, and lots of fun along with it. It is a two-day event that features several activities and events that challenge the potential of students from all over the student community. Every year the students unite in a combined and synergized effort to organize this festival. Not only does, it allows the students to explore their creative and artistic sensibilities but it also provides a platform to exhibit their talents. Our college authority decided to celebrate this year’s annual cultural program with technical events.
Flair has been one of the best college festivals in Tumakuru that has attracted students of 7 different engineering colleges to exhibit their talents, implement their technical skills and show their connection with culture. In this techno cultural fest CIT organized 40+ events (Technical and Cultural) with the cash prize worth of 2.5lakh. The biggest attraction of the fest was the DJ shows and Celebrity live concert Harshadwani.
