Sports Infrastructure
The Department has all the required facilities to conduct various sports / game events. All the sport grounds meet the necessary standards & maintained by dedicated staff.
Outdoor Facilities
- Cricket
The measurement of the ground is 65 meters in circle. The cricket ground is approved by KSCA(Karnataka State Cricket Association) and accordingly all the Zonal matches of Tumkur are conducted at CIT campus regularly.
- Kabaddi
CIT has well maintained kabaddi ground and the measurement of the ground is 10×13 meters in rectangle. As per the requirements the ground is maintained with hard red surface and is located beside CRC block.
- Football
Football ground has the measurement of 100×60 yards in rectangle.
- Kho-Kho
Kho-Kho ground in our campus has the measurement of 16×27 meters in rectangle.
- Volley Ball
Volley ball ground in our campus has the measurement of 9×18 meters in rectangle.
- Ball Badminton
Ball Badminton court in our campus has the measurement of 12×24 meters in rectangle. Court is located behind CRC block.
Indoor Facilities
The institution has spacious indoor facilities: Table tennis, chess, Carom in the department of physical education. Two Badminton courts are located in Amphi Theatre.
The hostel students and college students are utilizing facilities from 4PM to 7PM.

- Fitness Centre – Gym
The gym is well equipped with a multi-gym, a range of free weights and aerobic equipment. The gym is great for building strength, burning fat, improving general fitness, or for specific sports conditioning. The gym is open to all members of CIT. The college gym is maintained by the department of physical education. The faculties, hostel and college students are utilizing facilities from 4PM to 8PM.
